I look at it more like a hedge. IF they have the best CMP tool, then someone will buy it and the stock should appreciate. If they don't then AMAT or LRCX will get the market for CMP and I'll get my gains there.

You are entitled to your opinion, and moreover I can't agree with you on every equity. SFAM is one such equity where our opinions diverge. While I think your choice of the word speculation is very unCary-like, sticks and stones may break my bones, but I will take the green SFAM has made me. :oP
