Benefits like having US energy policy defined as they want it.
Not having been at the meetings, I can't be more precise.
Energy policy would appear to be being defined NOT for the good of the country (still less planet) but as per directions of a very small, rich clique of oil and energy executives. So presumably (as they paid good money to get this) either they or their companies, or both, are enriched.

Do you work for a large oil or energy company, Tim? You seem extremely eager to apologise for them and I don't understand why. Why do you refuse to comprehend an incredibly simple point? You are taking rhetorical questions beyond the point of stupidity and into blank obstinacy.
If you truly can't think why I make these accusations, and don't understand the explanations, I needn't bother wasting time with you, sorry. I don't actually think you are as unintelligent as you seem, so I conclude it's deliberate..

Whatever. Done. Bye...
