I don't think msft would want to do away with not allowing people to embed word docs in email. It is one of the distinguishing characteristics of their system that you can embed objects into other objects and edit them in place. IMHO, this is a user-friendly feature. In fact, it is features like this that make me think that there is nothing wrong with a user-friendly software company becoming a powerful force...
