If you and Steven tell me, don't worry, when we move 200,000 troops in at once, even the NY Times will have to mention it, my reaction is, this is not what I need a good newspaper for, to report only the obvious.

As always, you are very good with the topic change, Nadine. Neither of us were saying you should only read the NYTimes, certainly not you. (Well, Steven can speak for himself). What we are saying, however, is that if there were to be the kind of preparations in the Arab world that post talked about, they would be reported all over.

There is another big debate about which newspapers to read for what purposes. That's a very good debate to have on this thread. And I would be happy to join you in it; on the opposite side of your posts.

John

the NY Times has not covered the movement of men and material into the Mideast

Are you talking about US movements, or others?

Perhaps an excessively obvious question, but if you don't like the NYT, why read it? There are plenty of other sources.
