JW - This is the QCOM thread. I don't have the faintest idea whether we are going to have a recession next year or not. Many of us here have been waiting for one thing and that is the opening of 1X by PCS in July of this year just over 12 weeks away. PCS with VZ will cover most of the country. The new handsets/PDAs will be in the store and more and more of them. The US is the bigggest mobile data market. Mobile data is the future of mobile telephony. The US is more imoportant than China in that respect due to the difference in the RSPs of the products. Mobioe internet is going to be in everyones face in 12 weeks. Thats what we've been waiting for. PCS and VZs ARPUs are going to go up with the data users. Recession or no recession this is going to happen. The market will see the result of this happening. My guess is that many people have little idea what mobile internet is capabl of. They will love it, epsecially the kids. Best, L
