Ok the word all should not have been used in the statement it was a poor choice, so delete it. But I am sure that is not your problem

You did not say "some evil",
He did say:
brainwashed religiously and nationalistically and some of them actually become fanatical and evil

He did not say that all evil in America was due to religion or all evil in the world, so the reasonable context is to take it to mean all of the evil that was discussed in the previous sentence. It's quite unreasonable to assume that he was redefining original sin in the final sentence.

In conclusion attributing all the evil for some evil people does amount to attributing "some evil".
