In normal English usage, "all evil" means "100% of evil". In normal English the phrase "root of all evil" or something would indicate every single evil notion. Such an interpretation makes no sense in the context. The statement contained two reductions from universiality. something happens to some of them which is followed by: and some of them . For this part of a part to try and represent the whole again would logicially require a modifier much stronger than the ambiguous "all". The totality of evil does fit well with the sentiment So sad it is so sad . To find that 100% of evil is due to a small group would be a happy event since it would be relatively easy to eliminate leaving a paradise of only good. TP Message 17240014
