Ummm.. actually it was a part Israel and a part Jordan. There wasn't a no-man's land. The West Bank was taken by Israel in 1967 because Jordan and Iraq had attacked Israel from it. It's no-man's land now because Israel really doesn't want much of it but they don't have much of a choice but to keep it.
