ABX should have a negative value to their hedge book at about $300. So at $325 they should be underwater by ($325-$300)*20 million = $500 million plus the negative value on the out-of-the money calls they have sold.

Time to move it to the next level up!

Seldom does the average citizen investor have the opportunity to help their nation while helping themselves.
We have just such a rare opportunity, and gold can again be called into service.

Key to our economy returning to a pre- 9-11 level is that the normal person again travels by air.

Currently many people won’t fly for a weekend trip simply because flying / clearing airport security has become such an extreme hassle. Even jewelry, a heart pacemaker, or an orthopedic screw / plate set’s off a metal detector & must be removed and or explained & the person is ‘strip searched’.

Who here knows about airport security equipment & owns shares in one of the top provider of the security machines?

In case every one here doesn’t know, many of today’s jewelry wearers have holes in places undreamed even 10 years ago.
Anyone that wishes can review these “new hole” locations here(pictures not safe for work & might offend some people or children)

Consider these facts:
1. Gold of high purity (14 carat or better?) makes a TERRIBLE weapon
2. Metal detectors can be “tuned” to include or exclude soft metals
3. Most of the body piercing jewelry is stainless steel which makes a great weapon

Who will take it upon themselves to get hold of the key airport security machine firms & twist arms to get machines tuned to NOT pick up soft SAFE gold jewelry and thus again allow people to fly & maintain some greater level of privacy? Perhaps even weight thresholds should be established which would include any single piece up to 3 ounces?

I’ll get in contact with AU & Harmony & explain to them that they should be making this more “exotic” jewelry – which makes up a large percentage of US jewelry sales.

In closing, if we can get all those new holes out there filled with high carat gold jewelry instead of the current silver & stainless steel there will quickly become a gold shortage – and we will have helped heal our nation’s economy.

If one doubts the size of some of this jewelry. See this site, - NOT SAFE FOR WORK & some people / children.

Heck I’ll bet even Rose wouldn’t object to this as can you imagine how much more gold will become available – at some point – to her recycling crucible.
