A pretty good (and benign) example of your way of thinking. No other reason to own these cars except status? How about how they perform? What if they have features that you like? Superior engineering? How about the looks? These (and probably some others) all seem like possible reasons to buy a car that have nothing to do with what someone else thinks. You can't see any of them.

My daughter drives a Mercedes because it is the safest car out there.
