Is it all black people that collect? What about the ones that had no ancestors here? They get money just because they are black? What about the people that weren't here when slavery was around, that came here after 1865? Do they have to pay, also? Do black people have to pay black people? They sold them into slavery from various parts of Africa. Can I collect based on the mental pain and anguish I felt when I watched roots on TV? Where do I sign up for this free money? I want my share.

Well shall we charge all Moslems in this country for 9/11. Would it be fair to demand reparations for 9/11. If it is fair to charge me for reparations because I am white even though my ancestors were slaves themselves (Ukranians) and were not here at that time than certainly all Moslems in this country should be far more guilty because they are here right now. Stupidity at the utmost.

Right on. And just wait until all the oppressed who came here of their own volition want to collect after the first round is successful -- Irish, Italian, Polish, German, Chinese, Mexican, etc., etc. All oppressed, at home and here. Just a churning of money, except what the lawyers skim off the top. After all, that's what it's all about -- the lawyers. Wasn't that true about the tobacco settlement?
