You go ten miles and you are at the Green line. Try defending a border which is hundreds of miles long, much of it with difficult terrain against an individual bent on getting to the other side. When I was eleven years old, being a kid, I crossed from Israel to Egypt between two UN security posts one day. Getting back was a little more difficult, but I managed to finally get caught only when I re entered Israel several hours later. That was in '58 but the world hasn't changed that much. (I guess the area I crossed into now is called Gaza.) bill
