Talking of guns. I went to a safety meeting yesterday where I work. There was a police officer telling us about concealed weapons etc. Basically, he told us that the police don't enforce the concealed weapons law against otherwise law-abiding citizens, so not to worry about carrying a concealed gun even if we don't have a permit. I also live in one out of four states where your car is considered an extension of your house, so it's OK to carry guns in cars here. Watch out, BaldEagle is now "Armed and Dangerous."! Coincidentally, a tourist was badly beaten up and mugged right outside where my son-in-law works the day before yesterday. They're lucky they didn't pick on him, he carries a little Beretta wherever he goes.

Although I think she is severely misguided and barking up the wrong tree, I have a certain amount of sympathy for Sarah Brady. She is acting on her emotions, which every one must know are a valid response to what happened to her husband. It's too bad they are misdirected. If they were directed at keeping lunatics like John Hinckley in the company of white coats, she might do some real good.
