(or) Can't mix apples & oranges except when making a fruit drink and then pinapples & bananas or my favorite oranges & pinapple(especially as ice cream) is good idea. As for using gold as a vehicle to trade these markets where gold mining companies supply transporatation, then yes please visit that precious metals thread i mentioned, and also eventhought The Vet above knows what he knows, The Vet and any others on this thread would welcome i'am sure the opinion of the person voted here on Si as most bookmarked, being Zeev Hed, for his thoughts in general on the precious metals with gold and silver the ones most visual. Please note that long ago i detected in Zeev a distaste towards running towards the end of rainbows looking to find and capture that pot of gold :o) So based on that Zeev will serve as a good Weather Vane to show the current direction of any trend in gold and the un-mentioned here metal silver that seems to have two winds of strong opinion blowing, one that there is a present big over supply available, and the opposite situation.
