WC,
And i dont think that a continued strong consumer alone will satisfy the fed. Tech needs to get going--the consumer will not be able to shoulder the burden of recovery alone. Add to thatthe fact that we are at war and in a war inflation will be tolerated to a greater extent than during peacetime. Greenspan is a WW2 guy. He knows that what is at stake is greater than fighting "phantom inflation" or ultimately a point higher inflation than a theoretcial target they {the fed} may have set as a target. mike

WC,
Another thought. Throw out the seasonal thinking that says softer markets from april to september. If ever there were reasons for an abberation, this year holds them. As interest rate fears diminish and as the market starts anticipating fewer earnings warnings and earnings that will beat the street, the market should begin moving up nicely. And yes Virginia, there will be a time when nasdaq catches up to the dow. How much Coke can you drink anyway, Mr. Buffett? mike
