Jim, thanks for the link to that interesting article. It presents an interesting theory but does not have enough information to establish a cause and effect relationship, which would be necessary to predict similar future trends. Put another way, there may be many other factors affecting gold prices, other than real interest rates. Relying only on the theory as presented in that article could be hazardous. Art
