"Government, you see, is 1,000 Enrons, never being brought down by the free market, " On the contrary, in a democratic society bad governments are brought down by free elections. Bad corporations must be regulated by good government because in a truly free enterprise system there would be no controls on private enterprise and the unscrupulous would eventually prevail. That's what you fail to see, ie a good government is one that does not favor either extreme but is rather one that fosters a reasonable balance of opportunity for its' entire population.
