(1) long 11/07/97 to 07/24/98 = profit of $45,500 ... (2) short 07/24/98 to 09/04/98 = profit of $42,850 ... (3) long 10/16/98 to 07/23/99 = profit of $64,800 ... (4) long 10/22/99 to 01/14/00 = profit of $38,000 ... (5) short 04/07/00 to 03/23/01 = profit of $113,400 ... (6) long 03/23/01 to 06/08/01 = profit of $28,175 ... (7) short 06/08/01 to 09/21/01 = profit of $76,875 ... and (8) long 09/21/01 to 01/11/02 = profit of $43,375 ... ... please understand that ... (A) I did not make any of those trades ... I did not start studying Larry Williams until June, 2000 ... (B) and for the first 20 months, I bought only SP puts, something Larry does not recommend at all (my gross cumulative profit for that period was around $110,000) ... the above scenario of 8 trades are about the best anyone could do for that period IF s/he could read it perfectly and make all the right decisions ... (C) there would never have been more than $24,000 in margin money at risk at any one time AND the largest daily cumulative loss on paper would have been less than an additional $15,000 ... (D) since 01/11/02, there has been another short swing and another bull swing, though I have not done the calculations ... (E) the next short swing started 03/25/02 ... ... and lastly, those are my interpretations of what Larry Williams methods might have provided ... it is not what Larry recommended... but I am going to try to do it for real in the next 4 plus years ... should I begin by losing $25,000 plus at the outset might put a crimp in my plans and style though ... <g> ... we will see ...
