The question came out of the blue and Viterbi seemed very disconcerted.

Dr. Viterbi is now on the BOD at Flarion and actively participating in the optimization and commercialization of their Flash-OFDM technology.

Jim, I don't remember who asked the OFDM question, but I'd found some people in Auckland Engineering School working on OFDM and I raised it in the SI discussion. Our resident SI experts explained it and we went all over it and the outcome was a question by somebody to Andy Viterbi at the AGM, which was brushed off in a manner which raised more questions than it answered [to me anyway].

Now we know more about the behind the scenes action!

But no worries, OFDM and CDMA [OFDM being a CDMA version] will work in well together on multimode, multiband RadioOne devices powered by QUALCOMM ASICs. Along with SnapTrack, Bluetooth, 80211, etc...etc... BREW et al...
