It's not even necessarily undesirable. Commonly the people with the most knowledge of a subject are those who have the most self interest in it.

Of course that's how they do it. They convene all sorts of people to write laws and regulations. I know that first hand. What they don't, or shouldn't, do is sneak around about it. Makes one wonder.

After Clinton you ask this?

It seems to me that making impeachability the standard is no better than parsing the meaning of "is." We need to expect more from our high officials than simply not crossing the line to criminal or impeachable acts. Or even plausible deniability, in most cases, although I must say I've used that one myself. In a good cause, of course. <g>
