Tim, Re: "Over on Mani's Mind Control AMD thread, the droids are claiming that Intel is not actually profitable, that Intel is using "accounting tricks" to show its tens of billions in profits over the past decades."

I've noticed that another topic - the recent story that Intel was involved in funding The Aberdeen Group for their whitepaper against AMD's model numbers - is also a reason for upheaval over there.

Reality is no doubt dawning on some of them that AMD's model numbers may not be the greatest solution for AMD's performance perception, and this is causing some serious defensive reactions.

The moderated thread is a pretty scary place to be right now. No doubt they're ready to burn anyone at the stake that disagrees with them, so I've decided to keep out of it. Very likely, anyone willing to voice a differing opinion right now would feel the full wrath of AMDroid anger and frustration, and you can be sure that Free Passes have already been handed out.

I'd hate to see what happens, should anything else negative happen to AMD's Hammer timeline. I don't think the AMDroids' fragile psyche could take that.
