Even mangos i far prefer with lime juice, maybe that's it, absence of lime equals soapy ... there's lime on everything we eat, other fruits, vegetables, salads, meat of all kinds ..... so maybe that's my favourite fruit, lime, and not mango, it's just that lime is so basic and always on hand that we don't think of it as a fruit .... except recently - one store has been a great source of them, much cheaper than other places at three to four loonies per kilo, well about two or three weeks ago we ran out and found they were now 8.49/kg .... aaargh ... i know where for five loonies you can buy a sack of limes you can't lift, and we've got trees full of them growing beside the palapa not far from there .... mango crop is coming fine, we hear, they're eating some green already ... it's funny what goes to make up our tastes, eh .... i knew once some danish farmers whose idea of a real treat was iceberg lettuce sliced into eighths or so and sprinkled with white sugar ... and it was actually pretty good, once you mentally wrote off your teeth

What a thread to catch up on, whooo .... can't do this through the week and stay solvent too
