The site that Sharon went to before the begining of the recent violence is holy to Jews as well. Yes, I know but observers of the current political climate in Israel don't think his intent was to honor the Jewish site. Also there is evidence that the PLO was planning the violence anyway. Sharon just provided a useful pretext. I don't even think its much of a pretext but if it wasn't that Arafat would have found something else. If that were the only provocation, then I would agree with you. But Sharon has provoked Arafat[the Palestinians] non stop since coming into office. ted
