Chart for Synsorb Biotech, Inc: stockcharts.com[h,a]daclyiay[dc][pc20!b50][vc60][iLa12,26,9!Ll14]&pref=G From the chart of SYB we can see the stock spent last week trying to break through the resistance of it's 50MA. The stock is basically in a basing pattern just under it's resistance as it awaits news. Well the news came out yesterday, now it's show time, it either breaks out to the upside or tests it's 52 week low. JMO Good luck with this pick, Al

SYB-t...in the news: BCY shares to be purchased by Oncolytics from Synsorb Mon 1 Apr 2002 Mr. Lorne Meikle of BCY reports BCY LIFESCIENCES REPORTS ONCOLYTICS ARRANGEMENT TO ACQUIRE BC ... Oncolytics Biotech has completed arrangements with Synsorb Biotech to acquire the BCY common shares held by Synsorb. The arrangement, approved by the Alberta Securities Commission, in conjunction with another transaction between Oncolytics and Synsorb, is subject to the approval by shareholders of both Oncolytics and Synsorb. Involved in the transaction are 1.5 million common shares currently held by Synsorb and the right to receive an additional 400,000 common shares subject to certain milestones. In total this represents 13.6 per cent of the common shares of BCY. Dr. Thompson stated: "BCY has made great strides in the clinic, completing ITS phase I clinical trial and now preparing for a phase II clinical study in cystic fibrosis (CF). Oncolytics is pleased that it is becoming a substantive and long-term shareholder in BCY." Lorne Meikle, the president, disease, of BCY, stated that Synsorb had been helpful to BCY. The proposed change does not effect day-to-day operations, however, Mr. Meikle feels that it does indicate to BCY that Oncolytics values the BCY common shares and that the developments undertaken to date are both important and meaningful. "Dr. Thompson is a member of our board of directors and has been extremely helpful in helping BCY establish development programs," Mr. Meikle commented. Additionally Mr. Meikle commented, "We view this move as a confirmation that we are moving DCF 987, our lead compound, being studied for respiratory disorders, including cystic fibrosis (CF) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), in the right direction."
