I think if you buy the winners in the telecom equipment space now when everyone hates them you will do well if your
time horizon is a couple of years as carriers will resume spending sometime this year. The problem is no one knows
who the winners will be at this point. So its best to bet
on companies that have staying power. I would CSCO seems
to be the safest bet in this sector and I am not saying it his because I work at CSCO. I think the management has shown the capacity to take away market share from the JNPR,
LU, NT during this downturn. Its an expensive stock based on
current earnings but you have to pay the big bucks to get the 0.300 hitter in your team.
