Great story, Ish! I know what you mean. I once killed a really nice bull in Idaho, lacking royal status (seven points on each side) by one point on the left side. It was a very nice rack, so I decided to put it on the wall in my family room which had a nine foot ceiling. When I saw that the tines would point right at eye level of a standing person, I took the rack outside and put it on the ground where it remains to this day, diminished by the ravages of rain, snow, mice, and moss. As you say, it looked pretty silly mounted two feet off the floor. The memories are all I need anyway, since I ate all the meat already.
