You react as if white collar crime is something new. The point is that this is all history. The US is not Japan. The money has been squandered (or looted, if that is how you see it), the write-offs have been taken. The effect going forward will be to produce favorable earnings comparisons, year over year. This'll become more obvious in late 2002, early 2003. The market is discounting this now.
