By the way the Buddhists have always been one of the few religions that can claim true ahimsa or non-violence. Indeed they don't seek to convert as they are to busy meditating within and practicing austerity.

You might also reflect that Buddhists are very conservative but at the same time very tolerant and very non-violent. They are far more conservative than Christians are. They see the world as Maya a place of illusion and thus see the futility of worldly pleasure as a distraction from the realization of truth and eschew it as they seek freedom from samsara the cycle of birth and death
