Osama bin Laden letter to Arabic newspaper in London may be authentic

Posted: Thursday, March 28, 8:39am EST

London-based Arabic newspaper said Wednesday it had received an e-mail it believes to be from Osama bin Laden denouncing Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah's Mideast peace plan and praising Palestinian suicide attacks. "Prince Abdullah bin Abdel-Aziz's initiative, a Zionist-American (initiative) in Saudi government clothes, is merely a trick and a conspiracy," bin Laden, a Saudi-born dissident and America's most wanted man, said in the e-mail sent to Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper. The style and the language of the statement, a copy of which was faxed to The Associated Press in Cairo, Egypt, closely resembled those used in previous statements by bin Laden, whom the United States believes is the architect of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
