its own unique genetic code like no other
The genetic code of a sperm or egg is unique. When the 46 chromosomes divide into 23 for the reproductive cell they do not generally divide into the same strands, that is why all siblings don't look like identical twins. When the chromosomes unite after conception it is not like one set eats the other, all of those chromosomes remain in their pairs. The expression of genes may come from one set or another, but the uniqueness was set before mating. Didn't they teach you that in school?
