You are right about the length of the rally. But both bullion and the XAU still are considerably below the 1999 spike peaks. The ability of the gold sector to repeatedly shrug off bad news such as a strong dollar and CB attempts to cap the price is very bullish IMHO.

But things can change very fast in this ector. The big 1999 spike ended when gold shot up something like $10 one day, but the XAU stayed flat. That was the mother of all sell signals.
