fdr took many measures against the japanese which backed them into a corner. but i don't really want to rehash world war two. there are more pressing matters to attend to like the cultural war in america that is taking place right now.

joseph, The tragedy of the White House action in helping to facilitate the attack on Pearl Harbor, is that, by executive order from the White House, the entire Pacific fleet was ordered into Pearl. The naval command, at the time, knew that was a stupid military move, but could not sway their superiors to change the order. The only thing that saved our butts, is that Bull Halsey somehow experienced engine trouble on all three of his carriers in his task force. Without them, there would have been no battle of Midway.
