I made lamb-apricot pie, which involved the 2 quart and the Skillet. Those things are all so big, that I wound up pulling out my small Revereware pan from the Ammobox and keeping it, although I was horrified to see that it has a rounded bottom. No wonder I have never been a great chef.

This pie is my own creation. We had it in a pub in London (Porter's) in the 1980s, and the boys loved it so I attempted to recreate it. It has apricots, lamb, potatoes, peas, and onion and some seasonings, simmered in a broth and then thrown into a piecrust. It probably bears no resemblance at all anymore to Porter's, but the boys think it is great.
