That executive order has been mentioned, at least, a thousand times, and acknowledged by the government publicly.

That's not just a minor detail. There has been a lot of publicity about Pearl Harbor because of the movie that was nominated for an academy award. One would reasonably expect that any new titbits of information would be used to gain attention for the movie if for nothing else.

Maybe you heard it on the Limbaugh show? or one of the rest of the story pieces by Paul Harvey? I didn't see any mention at the Museum of the Pacific War.

The stuff about the engine trouble for the Carriers is the first I heard of that. Seems they were at Sea doing maneuvers
