I agree with you that their would be some practical benefits from this system. But I don't think it is right that people should have a government have control over them without having the ability to influence that government. (Oh I suppose they could demonstrate, but will politicians say "oh its just the lower classes, they can't vote anyway"?). Also not having the vote makes for a greater chance that people will start trying to influence the political system with violence. Terrorism, revolutions, things like that... Tim
