No. Not yet. Her prior "body" of work is unremarkable...

Let me know what you think about Monster's Ball.. the clips they showed looked intense!

I didn't agree with Crowe's BA award last year but thought he would get it this year. Probably would still think that even if I'd seen Training Day (which Ammo says not to see, because it's not my kind of movie)
BUt ultimately, like you, I watch the Oscars for the entertainment: to make fun of the dresses (and WHAT did Jennifer Connelly have on? Baglady Eveningwear?), to get teary at the lifetime awards, to see the surprises. It's SHOWBIZ for heaven's sake!

I mean, did anyone get really worried when whatever Baldwin it was said he was leaving the US if Bush got elected? Did it change anyone's mind?
("Dear Mr. Bush,
I am sorry but I can't vote for you because that actor who tried to kill nice Anthony Hopkins in THe Edge doesn't like you so I am changing my party affiliation.")
These are ACTORS. They can't help themselves.

I am off to hardboil eggs and put together an Easter basket for CW who is on his way home. Dan looked at me funny, but I told him that one is never too old for chocolate bunnies.

He deserved it for "Malcolm X", which was probably Spike's best film to date, although I am still very fond of "Do the Right Thing".
