"Looks like commercials went "clown short" on the SPoo's, and a TINY bit longer on the NDX." Very true, except for the mini contracts it's an entirely different story and positively ultra-bullish as it was last week too. Still, based on open interest and contract size the larger contract's negativity can't be ignored - at least so say the bears. The COT seems to have lost much of its ability to be a stock market predictor. It began falling apart in late 1995 and early 1996. What gets my attention are the times the large specs go net long. That seems to still have some predictive ability as a contrary indicator.
