Therefore it is not. << pretty foolish argument. what makes you think a newborn baby knows what he/she is? if self-awareness is needed to be considered human life, are people with brain damage not a sacred human life? are old people with alzheimers not human? is their life not sacred? how about people in a coma? should we kill them because they are not self-aware? what is your definition of being self-aware? any sort of brain-wave activity? do you think babies only have brain function after they are born? do they have no brain activity when they are in the womb? please enlighten us on how you play god and decide who should be allowed to live and who should not!
