The key here in the American Barrick case is that the Cheif Financial officer who is intimately familar with the hedging position of Barrick, doesn't own a share of stock. I think that tells you a very great deal. If Mr. Skilling at Enron had been buying instead of selling his stock along with their CFO Mr Fastow, maybe the stockholders of Enron wouldn't have gotten wiped out.
