Here's a link to the 10k, Charlie......in case you haven't seen it yet.

freeedgar.com

Nice quarter due to slight rise ( from last two quarters) of ads sales. And also due to a nice lump sum payment of 3.5 million from a Japanese manufacturer of 6 millimeter digital camcorders for past use. To the best of my knowledge their first digital score..and one that offers hope of future royalties. And the debt has been restructured.

HOWEVER...ain't there always a however to good AXC news.......the pensions are underfunded...they are still in a very lean cash position that should be tightened still more by the expiration of several VCR patents in 2003...and the expected drop in royalty revenues this year. They really could not absorb many unpleasant surprises.

So, to me , they are successfully treading water. I have to hand it to em for that. Any buy here would simply be a gamble on future licensing possibilities, and a hoped for improvement in ADS results.

Personally I see no compelling reason to buy , even at these levels. Also no compelling reason to sell at these levels. So gonna hold and try to forget this whole saga..and maybe just maybe some distant day we may get a fairly pleasant surprise.
