yes, but I'm sure the folks that would like to de-stabilize things haven't given up. I'd love to think that after 9/11 our government started rebuilding our intelligence infrastructure, but there is only so much they can do -- no doubt, there will be further attacks of some kind.

You see that recent report about folks getting on planes with guns and simulated bombs, etc. Course the attack won't come in the same way next time ...
