I knew you'd like that. LOL. You're thinking that these women of our founding father's time were recent graduates of barbizon after attending beaver college. A great many of the people that came to America were not here because they really wanted to be, they were here because they were sent here. Indentured servants, criminals, etc etc etc. The women I would imagine were no different, they were probably low class, as in street walker variety. I highly doubt that they made any contribution to the original writings at all. I just don't see Jefferson asking some trollup for her opinion on anything other than what he would pay her for. I am exagerating of course to some extent, but don't apply the vision of today's woman to the reality of yesteryears.
