vt, been looking at treasury rates. Doesn't look like they are ready to start retreating, which should be good for gold. Likewise if current trends continue it would seem that the general markets will have trouble making substantial progress.

vt, on another subject, assuming we are in a 3 up have you computed any possible targets for the XAU and HUI?

Purchased some MNP almost everyday last week.

I started to watch, but have only seen the old show a dozen times or so. Anyway, I was a minute or so late tuning in and here's this guy in the middle of talking about Louis. The first thing I hear him say is he's been his friend for a very long time. My first impression was that he could have taken a few tips from Louis' tailor and barber. It was an assault on the eyes. His tie was making me laugh so hard I actually closed my eyes so I could listen to what was being said. Opened them for a second while he introduced his first guest and promptly fell asleep for 20 minutes in my chair.

So I missed the talk about gold and am glad to hear of it, but methinks the nap was more beneficial<G>.

Regards

Bob

You know, I've been thinking about his Rukeyser thing a bit. I subscribed to his newsletter for awhile until I couldn't stand his bullish monotone any longer. Got a full refund despite my rather abrupt attached letter explaining why his offering was more than worthless for the all the poor slobs who have been following his advice to stay the course. Nothing less helpful than a permabull or permabear.

Does his departure mark the beginning of something new? Wouldn't it be something if a new bull market began...once all the quasi old timers (defined as only invested since 1988) threw in the towel and pitched their mascot Uncle Loo into the heap pile of failed gurus?

Just a thought. It will propbably take one more dive to do the trick, however.
