Still think Itanium experienced a successful launch in 1998?

The difference between AMD and Intel, is that AMD waits to ship products untii they work, while Intel shipped PIII 1.13GHZ, MTH, 3RIMM motherboards, etc., etc... all were shipping Intel products that corrupted data on their customer's systems.

All on time (or closer to on time), but it might have better if they'd waited a bit.

Intel: executing its customers data flawlessly...
