Well, what is blatant? You raised the matter, in a certain way and with a certain tone, for your own purposes. I tried hard to find out what the hell you were talking about.

the technique of using allusions to PM's in arguments (regardless of subject- but of course negative in nature, like a threat), because they cannot be substantiated and they reveal personal communications. You can propose what you like. I do not think PM's should be alluded to in connection with specific people to because it is very easy to smear people with absolutely no evidence. I think people should be excluded from a forum if they do that.

That's an interesting opinion. It seems like a good enough guideline to me, though I'd not have it or other similar specifics in the header, as my proposed revision shows.

The person for whom you were concerned, a concern that caused you to raise her case here in an attempt to see if you could get Ish excluded from this thread because of your "interest" in seeing whether the "rules" of "such moderated threads" could be applied "consistently" is free to post here, I believe. If she isn't, I hope she shortly will be.

If somebody posts unwelcome PM"s to me and they won't stop when asked I might just post them fuggers here, it occurs to me! And then maybe I'd be kicked off! and it would be worth it!

Life is complicated. Even administering a moderated thread can be complicated. Laz is doing his best, don't you think? -- A best which happens to have been good enough to make a successful thread, a largely and unusually civil one. Fun, lively, interesting. It's always easy for hostile people to snipe, don't you think? And that's a disadvantage of being a thread moderator, of course. Some people will want to snipe for not much reason, just to enjoy sniping. At least I think that might happen from time to time.

Anyway, I hope Laz will take my suggestion and invite both parties whose cases you made so high profile today to post to their hearts' content.
