I had this idea to leave some countries frozen in time to serve as examples of how civilization progresses:

Cuba:
will be left as it is living off hordes of visitors with sandals and Marx books (cum AMEX Cards) to study how the workers paradise should be. Cut sugar cane with a machete under 30C sun and watch tapes of Fidel working out the crowd. Wearing T-shirt with prints of Che Guevara they will visit obsolete factories where people toil rolling cigars that can be afforded and smoked only by capitalist pigs.

Hong Kong
will be left as it is -intact- and MBAs would go there for tourism to see how capitalism should work. Perfect: there is no farmers to subsidize, no rust belt to support.

They would line up to take pictures under the statues of Li Ka Shing and Li Ka Pao.

Israel/Palestine
will be left as an example of the middle ages when religion, not reason ruled people. Companies will over fly the tourist in helicopters and using binoculars.

Sweden

will be left as a third way country. There tourists will pay 25% VAT taxes, learn that the typical family is a mother an a kid. Buy booze in shops called SystemBolaget owned by the state and even have an opportunity to get its own number, since everyone there has a personnummer.

That would teach people who think that there is a way out of the ordinary.

<Consensus in Israel was the government doesn't know what it is doing but nobody else can agree on what it should be doing.>

They should have jumped at the Saudi plan...
