Simplistic is absolutely the correct choice of words. There is no linkage between the two conflicts except that created by the fuzzy-headed and the gullible.

The third round they are winning.

These assertions needs at least two factual bases. The first is to offer some sort of convincing evidence that links the current Palestinian attacks with Al-Qaida. The second is some serious argument that there is no difference between the local "terrorism" of opposition to colonial status and global terrorism that travels the globe looking for targets.
