We disagree on what constitutes a threat. If you find it insulting that we disagree there is nothing I can (or am willing) to do about that. I'm not going to agree with you simply to make you feel better. I do not feel aspersionized because my idea of a threat is different from yours. I have no idea why you feel that way. But as I said, there isn't anything I can (or am willing) to do about it.

PM's can be altered, and I do not want to see anyone's pm's even if I were sure they were unaltered. I do not want to hear about them, and I do not want to see them. I don't even want to see any pm's sent to me. I don't like them. They are a tool often used in divisive and ugly ways (imo)- last night provides perfect evidence for that, as well as the rather long record of their use on that other thread. I don't want to hear people offering their own pm's or the pm's of others as "evidence" of anything. I don't want to see long wrangling conversations about who will let whose pm's be published. This is only my opinion. Your opinion may be different. You clearly want different things from SI than I do. That is not an aspersion of any kind, nor was it meant to be snide.

I do not intend to go over your posting record and point out every time I have disagreed with you, even if you ask me to, and even if you are going to do that with me. What I said about your perspective on threats was not meant to be an aspersion- since you are wrong about the whole threat thing being an aspersion I don't really feel the need to address what follows since imo there is no point. You may feel there is a point. We will disagree on that. No aspersion is implied (on my side) by our failure to agree.
