Ed,
tjx alot- yes I too am working today besides posting occasionally on SI..

First of all, thx for getting the Subject Header changed to TTPT / Russian Oil. and the OTC/BB really seems to be the place where such companies can prosper - think that HHLF was trading on the OTC/BB before getting listed on the main Nasdaq..

Regarding Howard I think you are right. OTOH, I heard he is very much focused on operational issues. Not even a roadshow has been done in the past. But IR told me that is about to change soon (and I found one appearance in a recent news item on a main wire think Feb or March). What I think is impressive is that a former high ranking director with Netherland's based blue chip bank ING is about to become the new CFO for TTPT..

Operationally (the area I think Howard is most at ease with) their strategy is quite clever. Biggest Sibirian oilfield nearby. Ready access to facilities like roads, pipeline already present. Refinery strategy formulated. All pluses. This is trading at the same "Reserve Valuation" (BCFE/Mcap) as BNO before their asset sale. But TTPT doesn't have BNO's debt obligations..

Funny you mention Frankfurt Exchange since I'm based "nearby" - in Vienna/Austria. But I preferred to buy the stock on the OTC/BB not in Europe..

There's only one company - a bigger Russian firm - which has similar valuation parameters as TTPT- They are called OAO Tatneft, ADR in NewYork (NYSE) under ticker "TNT" - around $15. Not even a dedicated thread on SI. Their reserve ratio is around 30 (a tad higher than TTPT) but they are way larger than TTPT so their "elasticity" (upside for future reserves) should not be as big. Tatarstan owns 30% of TNT and may want to sell more - was told TNT is the 4th largest producer in Russia. Acc. to Russia experts TNT is trading at 1/5 of the value of its peers (like Lukoil of the firm BNO sold their Arctic Gas field to)
