I did the same math. First quarter shipments were supposed to be 750k, so you are right that 10x as much is 7.5M. But that's not a reasonable figure. I assume that the 10x number was either just meant as an Order of Magnitude estimate, or it was just wrong altogether. I expect Pentium 4 to be shipping about 15M units or more by now.
